Build Day 7

Build time today 1.0 hours - Total build time 19.0 hours.
Man time today 1.0 hours - Total man time 28.0 hours.

Managed to get an hour in before we went out for the evening to see the Rat Pack at the Birmingham Alexandra Theatre. The kind people at Westfield confirmed that with the anti roll bar the shocks are reversed. It therefore did not take long to fit the shocks and I even managed to fit the steering rack, though that was more tricky. Getting the brackets over the rubber mounts was not easy, I ended up using a clamp on top of the bracket that went under the chassis to pull the bracket down far enough to allow me to get the nut on to the bolt.

Thankfully I did not follow the guide a cut 15mm from the searing rack I remembered a comment from someone at the factory that it was no longer required.

(Pictures taken the following morning)

Drivers side front suspension

With Shock absorber upside down there is now plenty
of clearance

Plenty of clearance

Searing rack installed,.

Tomorrow I will try a visit the factory to get a look, if I can at a couple of cars partly assembled to check on the routing of the brake and fuel pipes and location of the battery tray.
