Spent an hour trimming the inner edges of the body work so that it stood a chance of fitting over the chassis. the difficult part was getting the body work in a position I could get at it. After some some thought I managed to arrange a couple of stools (with plenty of additional padding and protection) and some trestles to support the body work while turned over. it was then straight forward to clean up the edges to allow a better fit over the body.
Once done the body work was returned to its stored position ready for fitting later in the week. After discussing with Westfield they had volunteered to pop down and fit the body work. A big advantage of living so close to the factory.
Body work in it'as stored position which left enough room for my wife's car. |
Bodywork turned upside down to gain access. |
